Spay (Ovariohysterectomy)

This surgical procedure makes it so a female animal cannot reproduce; we remove both the ovaries and the uterus. Spaying not only improves your pet’s outlook for a long healthy life but also helps with pet overpopulation and unwanted puppy and kitten problems.

Equine Services

Reproduction

Dr.Harfst is highly experienced in equine reproductive medicine and offers state of the art broodmare work including ultrasound, breeding exams and artificial insemination with fresh-cooled or frozen semen.

Dental work

From wolf tooth removal and floating to managing and improving the life of older horses or horses with special oral care needs.

Well-horse exams

An annual check up to help your equine partner will be at his or her best.

Lameness exams

Dr.Harfst is highly skilled at diagnosing lameness issues and making a specialized treatment plan for each individual patient.

Pre-purchase exams

This can range from a simple once-over to a full set of x-rays and flexion tests and is a way for a purchaser to feel comfortable that the animal they are looking at is in a good physical condition before they buy.

Endoscopic exams

A fiber optic camera is introduced into the horse’s air way or stomach, allowing the veterinarian to see internal structures that are otherwise inaccessible.

Vaccinations and Deworming
